Security Engineer

Dallas, TX | Remote

This position is the defensive anchor of the Strike Global monolith. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the integrity and sovereignty of our entire technical stack—from bare-metal hardware to proprietary execution logic. You will architect the defensive systems that ensure our global trading operations remain resilient against external friction and systemic threats without compromising technical performance.

We are seeking an engineer who views "security as a feature of the architecture," not an afterthought. You are not just a defender; you are the guardian of the Continuum.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Hardening: Design and implement robust security protocols across the sovereign stack. This includes hardening Linux kernels, securing network boundaries, and protecting the integrity of our low-latency execution engines.

  • Identity and Access Sovereignty: Engineer fine-grained access control systems (IAM, PKI) to ensure that internal resources and proprietary code are only accessible to authorized principals.

  • Vulnerability Research: Conduct deep-dive audits and penetration testing of internal systems and third-party integrations. You will identify and mitigate potential "glints" of vulnerability before they can be exploited.

  • Incident Intelligence: Build and manage the telemetry and alerting systems for security events. You will lead the technical response to anomalies, ensuring the continuous fidelity of our operations.

  • Cryptography and Integrity: Oversee the implementation of cryptographic standards for data at rest and in transit, ensuring the privacy and authenticity of our global communication channels.

Skills Required

  • Technical Mastery: Strong proficiency in Linux security internals and systems programming (C++, Python, or Go). You understand exploit primitives and how to defend against them at the kernel level.

  • Network Defense: Deep understanding of network security and protocol analysis. Experience securing high-performance, low-latency network fabrics is essential.

  • Security Engineering: Proven track record of building automated security tools and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

  • Cryptographic Fluency: Strong grasp of applied cryptography, including symmetric/asymmetric encryption, hashing, and digital signatures.

  • Intellectual Autonomy: The ability to own the security roadmap without needing "Slouch" oversight. You are the final authority on the defensive integrity of the monolith.
